  • Indications for use of Tanakan are:

    • cognitive and neurosensory deficits of various origins (with the exception of Alzheimer's disease and dementia of various etiologies);
    • intermittent claudication in chronic obliterating arteriopathy of the lower extremities (grade 2 according to Fontaine);
    • visual impairment of vascular origin, decrease in its acuity;
    • hearing impairment, tinnitus, dizziness and coordination disorders, predominantly of vascular origin;
    • Raynaud's disease and syndrome.

    Composition (for 1 tablet):

    Active substance:

    Ginkgo biloba leaf extract (EGb 761®): 22.0-26.4% flavonol glycosides and 5.4-6.6% ginkgolides-bilobalides - 40.00 mg

    Excipients:

    Kernel: lactose monohydrate - 82.50 mg, microcrystalline cellulose - 50.00 mg, corn starch - 37.00 mg, colloidal silicon dioxide - 28.00 mg, talc - 11.25 mg, magnesium stearate - 1.25 mg.

    Sheath: hypromellose (E 464) - 6.00 mg, macrogol 400 - 1.50 mg, macrogol 6000 - 1.50 mg, titanium dioxide (E 171) - 1.00 mg, iron oxide red (E 172) - 0 , 70 mg.

    Description:

    Biconvex round film-coated tablets of brick-red color.

    At the break, the tablets have a light brown color and a specific odor.

    Pharmacological properties

    Pharmacodynamics:

    A standardized and titrated preparation of plant origin, the action of which is due to the effect on metabolic processes in cells, the rheological properties of blood, as well as vasomotor reactions of blood vessels.

    - The drug improves the supply of oxygen and glucose to the brain.

    - Normalizes the tone of arteries and veins, improves microcirculation.

    - Promotes improved blood flow, prevents erythrocyte aggregation.

    - Has an inhibitory effect on the platelet activation factor.

    - Improves metabolic processes, has an antihypoxic effect on tissues.

    Affects the release, reuptake and catabolism of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, acetylcholine, dopamine, serotonin) and their ability to bind to membrane receptors.

    Pharmacokinetics:

    Ginkgolides A and B and bilobalides have a bioavailability of 80% to 90% when taken orally. The maximum concentration is reached in 1-2 hours; the half-life ranges from 4 hours (ginkgolide A and bilobalide) to 10 hours (ginkgolide B). The main route of excretion is the kidneys.
