Indications for use of Mezym Forte (Pancreatin) are:
Lack of digestion in violation of the exocrine function of the pancreas: cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, pancreatectomy, dyspepsia, Remheld's syndrome, flatulence; violation of food assimilation, intestinal infections, chronic diseases in the liver and biliary tract system, degassing of the intestine before diagnostic tests.
Pharmachologic effect:
Replenishing the deficiency of pancreatic enzymes. Contains excretory pancreatic enzymes: lipase, alpha-amylase, trypsin, chymotrypsin, promotes the breakdown of proteins (to amino acids), fats (to glycerol and fatty acids) and starch (to dextrins and monosaccharides), normalizes digestion processes. The enzymes that make up pancreatin are released in the alkaline environment of the small intestine, because protected from the action of gastric juice by the membrane. Trypsin in the upper part of the small intestine inhibits the stimulated secretion of the pancreas, causing the analgesic effect of pancreatin.
Composition
1 coated tablet contains pancreatin (from the pancreas of pigs) with a minimum lipase activity of 3500 U (according to the European Pharmacopoeia), amylase - 4200 U and proteases - 250 U; in a blister 20 pcs., in a box 1 or 4 blisters.
